Abstract
Reconstruction of chest wall radiation ulcer after radical mastectomy is most difficult because there are few healthy local tissues available as a results of the effects of sugery, irradiation, infections. For the chest wall defect, several random flap and myocutaneous flap could be used. Among them, rectus abdominis myocutaneous flap is most beneficial method. This method gives many advantages; enough available donor tissue, no need for chnging of the position during operation, effect of abdominoplasty, hidden donor site scar. We have been experienced 7 cases of reconstruction of large chest wall defect using the patients showed mild abdominal hernia tendency. We think this method is most available for the chest wall radiation ulcer and other defect.
